Home-Based Classes

After the fall of Kabul in the summer of 2021, school attendance for girls was severely restricted. Their only hope of a future was education and that door was slammed shut.

That is when the leadership of ImagineAsia devised a plan to establish community-based education classes in homes in Afghanistan.

The main concept of this project is to organize classrooms for girls in houses which are being taught by professional women teachers who no longer have jobs. The courage of those women who have enthusiastically taken up the challenge to teach girls in their neighborhoods has been gratifying and rewarding.
